Holy Cross Chorley
This was the last match for our fantastic Year 11 Rugby Team.
The game was well balanced and when Highfield scored first with a brilliant Phil Mitchell try all hopes were on the cup. However, Holy Cross played well and fought back bringing the scores level. A momentary lapse of concentration near the Holy Cross line saw them collect the ball and run the length of the field to score an unexpected try. Highfield never put their heads down - they got together and the team encouraged each other. At the end there was only one try in it but Holy Cross took the day.
Highfield Year 11 Rugby Team can be very proud of their achievements on the field not only for their rugby skills but also for the good sprit of sportsmanship shown whenever they play. They have made their school proud of them - well done lads!
